  • Day 1 – Arrival in Catania (T)
    Private transfer to the Hotel. We will head to the slopes of Etna to the Sciaranuova estate belonging to the Planeta Winery, one of the leading wineries in Sicily. There we will visit the vineyards and millstone and do a tasting of their wine production, capped by a final aperitif.Overnight stay in standard room.
  • Day 2– Madranova & Valley of the temples (B-L-D)
    Breakfast. In the late morning we will head to the Mandranova oil mill where Signora Silvia will be happy to tell us the story of her company and show us the oil mill where we will do an oil tasting and lunch. In the late afternoon t
    ransfer to the Valley of the Temples where the group will be guided by Salvatore (a professional tour guide) through the Valley of the Temples. Dinner will be served at Re di Girgenti restaurant with Valley view.
  • Day 3– Pino Cuttaia & Regaleali winery (B-L-D)
    Breakfast. In the late morning we will head to Licata to visit La Madia restaurant with two Michelin star chef Pino Cuttaia. Lunch is included. In the late afternoon we will meet the Tasca family who will host us for two nights in their historic Regaleali estate where they take great care of their guests by sharing their history, wine and authentic Sicilian cuisine. Dinner includes a tasting of some Tasca d’Almerita wines that come from five different estates around Sicily.
  • Day 4– Pino Cuttaia & Regaleali winery (B-L-D)
    Breakfast. We will head to Case Vecchie, the Tasca family cooking school , where Fabrizia Lanza, daughter of the renowned founder and cookbook author Anna Tasca Lanza, will teach us how to prepare traditional Sicilian dishes based on pristine ingredients from the estate. In the late afternoon we will do a wine tasting in the heart of the Tasca d’Almerita vineyard followed by a sunset dinner on the estate, prepared by the talented Regaleali chefs, to complete your perfect day.
  • Day 5– Cottanera winery & Taormina (B-L)
    Breakfast. Transfer to the Cottanera Winery, one of the most extraordinary companies on the Italian and international oenology scene. We will start with a visit to the cellar and lunch will be accompanied by a tasting of wines from the same. After lunch we will transfer to the Passopisciaro Winery to discover one of the best boutique cellars in Etna. Overnight stay in Taormina.
  • Day 6 – Taormina (B)
    Breakfast. In the morning we will head to
    Taormina, one of the most famous towns in Sicily and which dates back to the 4th and 3rd centuries BC and is perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the Ionian Sea. It is a fascinating medieval city with typical cobble stone streets that lead on to large squares as well as the extraordinary classical Greek-Roman theater and the historic town center. There you will have the whole day free where you can stroll among the chic boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Overnight stay.
  • Day 7 – Goodbye Sicily (B)
    Breakfast and transfer to the Catania airport.

The best winery in Sicily

  • Day 1 – Welcome in Sicily (T)
    Breakfast. We will head to the slopes of Etna to the
    Monaci delle Terre Nere, a country boutique hotel, winery and organic farm. After check-in we will do a private wine tasting, led by a sommelier. You will taste wines including the Nerello Mascalese and the Carricante, the two most important grapes from Etna. You will also have the opportunity to learn about wine production techniques and its traditions. In addition, you will also try the company’s olive oil with whole grain Sicilian bread made from varieties of heirloom wheat. Dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 2 – Mount Etna & Cottanera winery (B-D)
    Breakfast. In the morning we will meet a nature guide who will lead us in our exploration of Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe. Once there, you will be able to admire the unique and spectacular combination of nature and the uncontrollable essence of fire. Lunch will be not provided. In the afternoon we will transfer to the Cottanera winery, one of the most extraordinary companies on the Italian and international oenology scene. We will start with a visit to the cellar and dinner will be accompanied by a tasting of wines from the same. Overnight stay.
  • Day 3 – Taormina (B)
    Breakfast. In the morning we will head to

  • Day 4 – Marilina winery & Noto (B-L)
    Breakfast. Late in the morning we will head to the Marilina winery, a small family-run operation. There you will visit the vineyards and the cellar and have a typical lunch accompanied by a taste of some of the organic wines.
    After lunch the visit will continue to Noto with a guided tour of the Baroque city. Noto is nestled at the foot of the Ibleani Mountains. The city is known for its masterpieces of late Sicilian Baroque architecture, including its famous cathedral. We will meet Corrado Assenza, the best pastry chef in Sicily, that he will delight us with his pastry (ice cream, jam and cream. Overnight stay in Ragusa.
  • Day 5 – Ragusa Ibla & Modica (B-T-D)
    Breakfast. With a private guide we will visit the fine Baroque architecture of UNESCO heritage site Ragusa Ibla. Lunch included. The itinerary there will bring us to the most beautiful and characteristic views of the town. In the afternoon we will transfer to Modica where a guide will take you on a path to discovering the history and architecture of the city, capital of the county first and later a symbol of baroque architecture which has also been declared a UNESCO heritage site. Obviously, gastronomic experiences will not be lacking either: Modica is famous for its unique and spectacular chocolate, flavored in many original aromas from Sicilian citrus to chili peppers. We will do a tasting during our visit and later dinner will be served at the Locanda don Serafino restaurant, where Michelin-starred chef Vincenzo Candiano will delight us with different courses accompanied by various types of Sicilian wines. Overnight stay.
  • Day 6 – Valley of the temples & Planeta winery (B-L-T)
    Breakfast.
    Transfer to the Valley of the Temples where the group will be guided by Salvatore (a professional tour guide) through the Valley of the Temples. Lunch at Re di Girgenti restaurant. In the afternoon we will transfer to “La Forestiera” estate of the Planeta winery, one of Sicily’s leading wine producers. After check-in we will do a tasting of their wine and oil production with a final aperitif to cap it off. Overnight stay.
  • Day 7 – Salt pans & Fina winery (B-D)
    Breakfast. The tour will head towards the salt pans of Marsala with a visit to the Mulino D’Infersa and excursion of the pond my boat. Lunch will not be provided.
    In the afternoon we will reach the Fina Winery where Federica will explain the wine production process and the history of her family. Aperitif at sunset and dinner with a tasting of wines will be provided. Overnight stay.
  • Day 8– Palermo & Morneale (B)
    Breakfast. Guided tour to the center of Palermo, starting from the Il Capo food market, famous for its meat, fish, vegetables, fruits and spice stands. The tour continues with a visit to the Martorana and Santa Caterina churches, with a stop at the famous pastry shop run by nuns, Pretoria Square and the Cathedral. Lunch will not be provided. In the afternoon we will reach Monreale to visit the cathedral with its captivating Byzantine mosaics. Overnight stay.

  • Day 2– Palermo & Monreale (B)
    Breakfast. Guided tour to the center of Palermo, starting from the Il Capo food market, famous for its meat, fish, vegetables, fruits and spice stands. The tour continues with a visit to the Martorana and Santa Caterina churches, with a stop at the famous pastry shop run by nuns, Pretoria Square and the Cathedral. Lunch will not be provided.   • Day 3– Planeta winery & Sambuca di Sicilia (B-L-T)
    Breakfast. In the morning we will head to the “Ulmo” estate of the Planeta winery, one of Sicily’s leading wine producers, to visit the cellar and taste 5 wines from the Doc Planeta selection, followed by a tasting of 3 of the Planeta extra virgin olive oils as well as a tasting of typical local products and a rich buffet with recipes from the book “Sicilia. The Kitchen of Casa Planeta.” After lunch we will go to the Pendola pastry shop in Sambuca di Sicilia where we can taste the “Minni di Virgini,” a typical sweet of the city. In the late afternoon we will meet the Tasca family who will host us for one night in their historic Regaleali estate where they take great care of their guests by sharing their history, wine and authentic Sicilian cuisine. Dinner includes a tasting of some Tasca d’Almerita wines that come from five different estates from around Sicily.
  • Day 4– Cooking class by Fabrizia Lanza (B-L)
    Breakfast. We will head to Case Vecchie, the Tasca family cooking school, where Fabrizia Lanza, daughter of the renowned founder and cookbook author Anna Tasca Lanza, will teach us how to prepare traditional Sicilian dishes based on pristine ingredients from the estate. Lunch included. In the late afternoon we will transfer to the Bio resort Fontes Episcopi. Overnight stay.
  • Day 5– Valley of the Temples & Sicilian country house (B-L-D)
    Breakfast. Transfer to the Valley of the Temples where the group will be guided by Salvatore (a professional tour guide) through the Valley of the Temples and the Kolymbetra Garden. The group will enjoy a packed lunch in the picnic area. In the late afternoon we reach a Country House in Naro where the group will perform a Sicilian cooking class run by an elderly lady. The dinner will include the products prepared during the afternoon, and evening entertainment with a folk group. Overnight stay.
  • Day 6 – Favara & Cooking class at Annalisa’s home (B-L-D)
    Breakfast. We will then transfer to Favara and meet Annalisa at the Cathedral. The tour will start
    in Piazza Cavour with a visit to the Barone Mendola Municipal Library, the Marzipan Almond
    Museum and finally a visit to the Patti pastry shop for the Cannolo experience. We will have lunch at Farm Cultural Park. In the late afternoon we will transfer to Annalisa’s house with whom we will participate in a Sicilian cooking class. Later we will dine with the food prepared during the afternoon. We will return after dinner.
  • Day 7– Naro & Ravioli of Milazzo pastry shop (B-L-T)
    Breakfast. Transfer to Naro, beloved by Frederick II who dubbed it “brilliantly radiant.” In 1200 Naro was gathered behind a fortified wall with seven gates. Today only one of these gates remains, the
    Porta d’Oro (Golden Door), a small medieval jewel rolled in Baroque architecture. Castles, churches and monasteries dot the town everywhere in a tangle of stories, cultures and religions of which the Mother Church, once a mosque, is the primary symbol. The tour guide will accompany us on a tour of the original baroque architecture and the most important sites of the town. The tour will end in Piazza Garibaldi and we will go to a typical trattoria. After lunch we will transfer to the Milazzo patisserie, where we will taste the “Raviola.” It is a typical dessert from Naro that dates back to around 1700 and, even to this day, is rigorously made by hand. Overnight stay in Ragusa.
  • Day 8 – Ragusa Ibla & Modica (B-T-D)

In the late morning we will transfer to Gli Aromi farm where we will do an excursion amongst ornamental plants and medicinal herbs which have been chosen for their unique characteristics: pineapple sage, stevia, lemon thyme, orange geranium and bergamot mint are all some of the varieties you will get to know, smell, touch, and in some cases taste, thereby discovering new flavors. Lunch at the farm. After lunch we will head to the Marilina winery, a small family-run operation. There you will visit the vineyards and the cellar and have a typical lunch accompanied by a taste of some of the organic wines. Overnight stay.
  • Day 9 – Noto, Acitrezza & Acireale (B-T)
    Breakfast. In the morning we will go to Noto with a guided tour of the Baroque city. Noto is nestled at the foot of the Ibleani Mountains. The city is known for its masterpieces of late Sicilian Baroque architecture, including its famous cathedral. We will meet Corrado Assenza, the best pastry chef in Sicily, that he will delight us with his pastry (ice cream, jam and cream. Lunch will be not provided. After lunch we will visit the Costa dei Ciclopi in Acitrezza and finally Acireale, famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture. Overnight stay in Catania.
